Congratulations...

And welcome to Brad Malone of Victor who was elected to the Library Board of Trustees at Tuesday's Annual Meeting.  

Brad is replacing outgoing Trustee Debbie Palumbo-Sanders who is leaving the Board after a five year term.  

We want to offer Debbie a great big Thank You for all the dedication and hard work she gave to the library and best wishes in her new position of Victor Central School Board of Education member.

Annual Meetings

We will be holding two annual meetings next week. The library Annual Meeting will be held on Tues., Jan. 24th at 6:30pm in the Malone Meeting Room. This year's meeting includes the election of a Trustee representing Victor. The candidates are Jami Kaplan and Brad Malone. Other nominations will be accepted. This meeting is open to all residents of the Victor School District.
The Friends of the Library will be holding their Annual Meeting on Wed., Jan. 25th at 5:00pm in the Malone Meeting Room. Items on the agenda include a review of past year's activities, a look at the year ahead and election of the officers for 2012. This meeting is open to the public.

Boyds Bears Raffle

Thanks to a very generous donation by Victor resident, Ruth Nellis, we will be holding a monthly Boyds Bear Raffle during the year.

Each month will feature a different bear.  Tickets are available at the library and are $1 each or six for $5.  Proceeds from the raffles will go to support library programs and activities.

January's Bear is "Mrs. Baybeary".  This month's drawing will be held on Jan. 30th.

Booked for the Evening Book Discussion

The first Booked for the Evening book discussion of the new year will be held tomorrow, Tues. Jan. 10th at 7:00pm in the Malone Meeting Room.  The Family Man by Elinor Lipman will be discussed.


Booked for the Evening discussions are held on the second Tuesday of the month at 7:00pm.  Caleb's Crossing by Geraldine Brooks will be discussed in February.  A complete listing of the discussions can be found here
